Success stories - Sasha & Libby

Hi All,

My name is Sasha and thanks to Vitaline I am a very proud mummy of a baby girl called Libby who is now 5 and a half years old.
Before you read my PCOS story, I wanted to share with you how I felt when I discovered Vitaline. I had experienced 13 years of infertility, heartache, weight gain and depression. I had tried every latest diet fad, pills and treatments and nothing had reduced my symptoms, or achieved my goal of pregnancy.

I felt alone and isolated, every doctor had promised to help me and nothing worked. I decided to look into my own research, so and when hearing that the Vitaline Plan could work, once again I was a non believer.  I was so wrong!!

When I heard about Vitaline, I was desperate to lose weight. My doctor advised that if I lost weight, I could go through another course of IVF, again. My PCOS was severe and I had suffered with mood swings, body and facial hair, terrific weight gain, depression; in fact, all the problems related to PCOS.

I really wanted to get healthy in order to give myself the best possible chance of a pregnancy. I enrolled at Vitaline and they gave me a Metabolic Rate Assessment.  My metabolism was assessed by their team and it came back as a reversed metabolism or a non existent metabolism.  At that point, I did not understand about Metabolic Rates, but I now know that women with PCOS suffer with a slow metabolism and this is why they have difficult losing weight.  Nobody had ever told me this, not even my doctor, so I had never had a Metabolic Rate Check up.

For years I had struggled to lose weight and now I had an answer to the reason why.   I felt so let down and uninformed by the professional doctors, why had no-one ever informed me of it, and helped me.  When I spoke to my doctor about women with PCOS have a slow metabolism he said YES, they do, and what you need is a Diet Clinic that specialises in diets for Metabolic Rate clients.   He advised me that he did not know anybody at that time.

I found Norah Elizabeth Lane, the founder of Vitaline, because she was a Diet Adviser in a Clinic near where I lived, so I decided to talk to her.   I was amazed when she explained that she specialised in Metabolic Rate Diets.  I could not believe my luck.  I had actually found somebody who could help me.

I explained everything to Norah, who then took the time to help me.  She prepared my  own personal plan, which was so different than anything I had tried before. I was never hungry. The food was normal, healthy food and I was given lots of tips and recipes on how to get the best results from my plan. I learned about the type of food I needed to eat because of the various medications I had taken in the past. I was taught about the different vitamins my body needed to give me stamina and successful weight losses, and which food provided these vitamins. My diet was all set out in meals, so all I needed to do was follow my personal plan.  The personal plan was devised to increase my slow metabolic rate. 

I lost weight every week. My first week’s weight loss was 7 1bs and the second week a further 7 1bs. I even questioned the scales but it was true. I was so happy my depression slowly lifted, and I started to feel healthier as I became slimmer.
Within 6 weeks I had lost over 37 1bs and missed a period, which was normal with having irregular periods and within a few days I decided to take HOT (home pregnancy test) so my doctor could prescribe medication for a period to follow, to my shock the test was POSITIVE.

I went on to have Libby at 37 weeks pregnant and the joy of having her placed in my arms is and was undescribable.   I knew I was here to play my part of motherhood and Vitaline had helped me achieve this, for which I am eternally grateful.
There are over 173 babies that have been born to Vitalines PCOS clients.   All, were, at first, a bit wary of the Plan, but now extremely grateful to Norah Lane who designed and produced the PCOS Plan.
